Local Sheffield guitarist from Grenoside. Recently part of Jarvis Cocker's backing band.

Passed away last week aged 37.:(

Not seen him for a few years but we were good pals during the mid 80's mod revival. Used to see at the Leadmill when I worked there.

RIP pal

Tragic news indeed, he was a friend of a friend. The funeral is Monday, apparently, at Ecclesall Parish Church.

i met tim sat on the school stage at 12 years old,we were like brothers from then on,i was the one that got tim into the mod thing,he'd never heard of the who til i introduced him to them, then he could'nt get enough of them,we used to sit in my bedroom and he'd play any tune i asked him to play on guitar, note for note while laughing,oh that laugh is one i'll never forget.we used to steal guitars from the music room at yewlands and sit in the corridor singing beatles tunes.then we got interested in beer, those days are a bit hazy but we had great times in rehearsal rooms,or a friday night in the forest on division st with hawley(i think that's what it was called)and a gang of other musician types.tim and i stayed friends going on mod rallys together,i did'nt see him very often towards the end because of his work with jarvis but i always got on the guest list when they were in sheffield.his funeral was quite crazy, all those faces from the past,it was very moving and to be honest, still a little hard to believe he's gone.

R.I.P pal,we'll meet again one day.

fozzy.
