Hiya wonder if anyone would be able to give me a few pointers here, I broke my foot a few weeks ago, im still not allowed to put my foot on ground so makes walking with crutches extremely difficult, i have obtained a mobility scooter also but with the snow etc its not always easy to get it out and about.

My son also has walking difficulties as he suffers from diplegic cerebral palsy, he CAN walk but is forever tripping up etc.

I live alone with my son and my teenager daughter, although I DO have a lot of help ie friends getting my shopping etc he is having to miss a few days off school since this happened as i have had no one to take him and pick him up, everyone is trying their best but obviously they cant be here fro me 24/7 does anyone have any clues what i can do, he misses a lot of school as he is forever attending hospital appointments, none of the neighbourhood child attend the same school as we have moved house and didnt want to take him out of his old school as he was happy there so cant ask no one local.

Any ideas would be of a great help xxx

hi their does your son go to special needs school or have a statement detailing his difficulties as he may be eligible for home to school transport which his what i use for my two sons who have cowdens syndrome you need to get in contact with sheffield city council and ask about their home to school transport

Also I suggest you contact your son's school directly, as they may have someone there who can help.

At my school I've known the headteacher arrive at a pupil's home and drag him out of bed to take him!
