Hi everyone

In the past i've had to rehome my pets (my beautiful kitten and beloved Rat Derv) due to our extremely unfortunate circumstances. It broke my heart cause all i wanted was to have pets that could be brought up around my daughter and that would keep my company when my partners out to work and when my child starts nursery.

We recently moved into a four bedroom house, its our dream home, and when i was moving in my partner called me down to a run down shed at the bottom of our garden. It filled the complete bottom of our garden and i thought at first it would be a tool shed. HOWEVER when i went in to the shed i was shocked to find four long built in cages eight medium sized cages, a huge rabbit run and an even bigger floor to ceiling length rabbit run. It seems it belonged to an elderly gentleman and his prize winning budgies...i was overjoyed, it looked run down from the outside but on the inside it was a palace.

I spent a week cleaning it as much as possbly, sweeping the floor, and cleaning the cages out from what i could reach and i KNEW it needed alot of work, the floor was rotten near the entrance and there were some holes in the wood, the windows needed fixed and the inside of some of the cages needed repainting.

I sat down and put my head to paper i drew out a sketch of what it would look like when it was done.

This next coming weekend Roxys little Wonders is going to recieve a full make over, it will have a new concrete floor put in, a fresh lick of paint, the cages are going to get completely done out and made even better than they are, the windows are getting thoroughly cleaned, new beams are being put in to reinforce the shed and its going to be a palace by the 1st of March.

Since putting up the site

My sister - in - law and brother contacted me. Due to unforseen circumstances there dad had passed some rabbits and babies onto them and because my sister in law is pregnant she cant look after them. She asked if we would take two of the babies off their hands which we have done gladly as my daughter loves these rabbits...they are currently down in the shed with two other rescue rabbits i adopted a week before. My brother then made a plea with me to take the other rabbits off his hands and temporarily home the guinea pigs. After deep talk with my partner i agreed that we would take on the responsibility and rehome the rabbits.

We now have three rabbit hutches to add to the collection of runs and hutches.

When the heating has been fixed and the lighting is working i know the home is going to be perfect. I've spoken with Rain Rescue and said that i am going to ask for small fees when rehoming the animals which will go to Rain Rescue as donations once rabbit food has been deducted as i intend to make NO profit whatsoever out of this and will be keeping reciepts and records.

I'm so happy i am able to finally put my three years of college course to good use, its an opportunity i have been waiting for and i know its going to be a success. I am Happy for anyone wishing to rehome a rabbit or guinea pig to come view the animals or simply look around. People can watch the progress on our temporary free site, the official website will be up and running soon.

Thanks for reading, any advice is welcome and i will answer any questions. Pictures are provided on the website along with updates and news.
