Can anyone help me find celebrity Blades fans?

I'm doing some research and have hit a bit of a dead end on this. They can come from the worlds of entertainment, sport, music, wherever really, be young, old, male, female as long as they are United fans.

No need to flag up Sean Bean, however as probably the highest profile Blades fan.

Cheers

Ed

it's Richard Caborn, Joe Elliot of Def Leppard is a blades fan, Richard Savage also of Def Leppard was a pig fan but interestingly had a contract at the Blades before turning to music.

Anna Walker, the TV presenter is a Blade.

As is that lass who used to play Vicky in Coronation Street but I can't remember the name of the actress.

I once saw Jack Charlton on tv saying that he likes to keep an eye on the Blades. I nearly fell off the sofa! :o

Does that make him a fan?

That would be my uncle, he still has a season ticket on the kop. He has had the same seat since I remember going with him when I was young(er)

yeah ray ashcroft used to sit near me on the kop--hes the only true blades fan in the entertainment world and as for people like sean bean etc.-who needs em?
at least paul heaton admitted on tele once that he didnt follow the blades as much as he used to---not like some other bloke who calls himself an 100% blade!!---joe elliott --theres another one--i rest my case!!
sorry but i had to get it off my chest!
by the way did you know that joan collins dad was a big blades fan?--he had roots in sheffield and watched the blades regularly.----art garfunkel stood next to me on john street once aswell but that hardly makes him a blades fan i suppose!

he gave an initial small ammount when he joined the board and nothing since--it was either 50,000 or 500,000 which is pocket money to him!!---at least ray ashcroft gives his money every week!!

How much money have you gven to the club? Over £50,000- if its less then who needs you too??

Every blades fan is equal- the club needs us ALL equally as much- no matter how much money they give to the club- we all want the same thing!

ive been watching the blades since 1959 and have never been on beans wages---so yeah ive put plenty of money into the club!!!

So Bean McCabe et al should put all their money into the club?

Why don't you do the same? :)

I spend a fortune but don't begrudge Sean Bean. He gets United mentioned a lot, and he's attempted to get other actors to put their money into the club.

Plus, aren't there certain rules about donations with the club being a PLC and all? I'm not certain but there must be some restrictions.

Been going since 1989, not as long as you mikey but I (and my parents) have put plenty of money in the club during that time and still do.

yeah good on you and your folks---the man in the street has to dig deep,it dosent come easy to us--yet we seldom get the credit for our efforts!:(
its not been easy over the years for me as ive a disabled son and two years ago i was diagnosed with an incurable kidney disease!---before i go i must mention that when howard kendall was in charge quite a few players and staff sponsored a mate of mine-craig sheperd an actor for his walk to london to raise money for an electric wheelchair!--it does seem at times though that you have to be in the public eye to be top fan of your club!--it just makes me so angry at times--but obviously not everyone shares my views!
cheers:thumbsup:

Can clearly remember one of the duo known as PM Dawn being interviewed by Simon Mayo on Radio 1 when the song Set Adrift on Memory Bliss (a rip off of Spandau Ballets True ) was in the charts (made no. 3 in 1991) saying that he was a Blades fan.Can never understand why he followed The Blades being an American but he definitely said he did.:help:
