Is anyone having problems with google at the moment? Currently when trying to search, am getting recurrent messages such as the one below:

Google Error

If this is a legitimate bonified message from Google you have a problem dwhl. The message is saying your computer has been hijacked and is sending spam out in large quantities.
There is not much chance you would notice this happening though, possibly a slowing down of your browsing is all you'd notice.

Run scans with each of these applications:
Ad-Aware SE (http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5)
Spybot Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html)
CWShredder (http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cwshredder_download.html)
Install and update them before use.

and finally run this online antivirus scan: www.trendmicro.com/housecall

This should sort your problem out, if not, let us know

I just found out today about the calculator on google. Just enter your sum into the search box and you get the answer. It even knows trig functions and conversions!

It could just be someone on an ip close to yours which has been detected, and google is banning a whole subnet - I know of websites which ended up banning *all* ntl users because of issues like this...

Oh and google has all sorts of cool stuff if you hunt around, check out the labs too! The unit conversion thing is one that I use which is genuinely useful.
