View Full Version : Drug Dealing/Fly-Tipping

Got a little 'flyer' through the door today. Apparently I live in an area where I may experience

'Litter, rubbish & fly-tipping, graffiti & vandalism groups hanging around, nuisance neighbours, intimidation & harassment, rowdy behaviour, abandoned vehicles, street drinking, agressive begging, crack houses (I ask you) & drug dealers, prostitution & kerb crawling'
Phew.

So if you are having a typical Sheffield weekend you must now call 0845 605 2222

As if we don't have enough to do with our crack-dealing, car stealing, kerb crawling neighbours knocking on the door!

Anybody else got this letter?

We got somthing similar a few months ago in the Wisewood area, left the bit out about crack houses and prostitutes though. Shame I was hoping for a little sex, drugs and rock and roll when I moved here a few years ago, looks like Glossop Rd is the place its all happening :D

I was just seeing who eles got one of these this morning like i did.
I like to know if anyone rang this number and got the problem sorted.
But i think i keep the number handy for when the druken chavs come to the park across from me and start to brawl and smash people windows like they did early hours in the morning the other day.

The leaflet is a joint initiative between the Police, Community Safety, Home Office and Sheffield City Council. It is to raise the awareness of the issues it lists and is a way of getting the word out there to report these issues on an easy to remember number. The leaflet was sent out at the end of February and it had a good response...but the responce has since quietened off ...so ......
If it applies to you then read it...if its not..dont.

Its to let you know something is being done to tackle Anti-Social behaviour in its many forms.

Isn't "being drunk and smashing windows" an emergency then?

We got one the other day - I've rung the number to report the neighbours dog for barking all day whilst she's at work - also reported them to the RSPCA. That'll teach her for letting it poo all over the place and scaring my cat.
