can anyone tell me where this is from .its an old glass bottle and has written on it ..."fosses" it has a vinegar server type stopper top that goes into the neck of the bottle but a cap that looks like a bottle top that you prize off with a bottle opener but its made of glass the same as the bottle! and it has a cork stopper in the back of it .

Doesn't fit your description too well I'm afraid. There's also a place in France (but not part of Paris) that's called Fosses.

yes i found that site too but this bottle is glass even the lid is glass even though it looks like a top you need to lever off like a coke bottle . but the bit that goes into the bottle is also glass and look like a vinegar serving bottle.......difficult isnt it>?:confused:

If you can get it to Rotherham Libraries & Museums in town ctr - they have a finds expert for all things dug up :thumbsup:

Take it to elsecar, they have a bottle guy there i believe
