Do you live in Parson Cross?
Ecclesfield?
Near enough to get to the St Thomas More Community Centre?
Need something to get you active?
Want to lose weight?
Need help finding a job?
Need help with debt?
Is there something you always wish you'd learned about?
Check out what's going on by going to the Parson Cross Community Development Forum group on Facebook!
We keep this site updated with the latest information of what's going on and what's being planned.
This is also your place to communicate with us and tell us what courses/activities you'd like us to provide.
We would also like to hear from people who have taken our courses. Did you enjoy it? Learn what you wanted? Would you recommend us to a friend? We'd like to know!
We're trying to improve what we have to offer, but it has to be realised that when we provide a course we have to look at tutors, cost of course handouts/hardware, room rental, local interest having been demonstrated - the list goes on!
To decide what we do next, we need your input!
Also, find out what services we provide. Photocopying, faxing, typing letters, assistance with CV's and so much more!

That is a fascinating idea and one that I will have to discuss with the relevant people in the area. In fact, I have a meeting tomorrow where I will put forward the suggestion and see if it would be possible for later this year.

Do you have "animal training courses" ?
This could be where animals (dogs, cats, budgies etc...) can take their owners to be trained and learn social skills. Perhaps be taught how to use litter bins, keep the music down at night etc....and perhaps cut back on swearing.
I'm sure most pets would be proud if their owners were better behaved.

Common courtesy is needed everywhere - not just Parson Cross.
I believe what you may enjoy is our Personal Development course. Communication skills, and anger management are amongst the many social skills which are taught.

That would be great! I know a few people that would come if you do it.

Fitness classes/ exercise and nutrition advice? I am more than willing to help :)
That's a class that I need personally!
Anyone qualified to teach can send us a CV and we'll get in touch with you when we get funding for a relevant class. The email address is michelle@pxforum.net.
If you're willing to do any volunteer hours, it's a good lead up to getting work at the Forum - that's how I started!
If anyone just wants to volunteer to help out at the Forum, drop by the office and talk with someone! I'm in on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
