i just wondered if anyone had ever been here and if so what was it like? I've just been looking on the website and thought it sounded quite interesting. It would be somewhere different to take the kids.

Last time I went, I was 19 and loved it. Chocolate never loses its appeal! I think I was 10 or 11 (maybe) when I first went. Definitely good for kids, great for adults too.

I used to volunteer as a classroom assistant and one year we took a group of year ten students to Cadbury's World as an end of term treat. It was ace . The tour was really good but best of all, they gave everyone a small cup of liquid chocolate to try whilst we were wandering round! :D

i've been - had a fab time.

I went earlier this year aged 17.
You get free chocolate but also it's mainy learning about the cadbury family and how chocolate is made.

It's great fun but the shop is way expensive!!!

Its a great place to visit, yes you learn all about the Cadbury family and how they started, there is a museum bit or there was, I went years ago but it was great, got free chocolate while we were going round the factory. When you arrive there and because it makes Bournville too, you can smell the chocolate as soon as you get out of the car. Definately a good day out! There is also a shop to buy more chocolate if you havent had enough while you are there. They sell things they dont always sell in the shops.

I applied for a job with Cadburys, and my interview was at Cadbury World.

We got loads of free chocolate :D It's a good job I didn't take the job because I would be sooooooooooooo fat!

I was going to ask about the free chocolate, is it like all you can eat free chocolate or just what you are given?

Me being like Augustus Gloop from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory like :)

I haven't been to Cadbury World, no. When I went to Majorca though, they had a trip on to a chocolate factory... It was a right shambles, we had to start from the back and ended up at the front. All we really saw was the milk and stuff been mixed.

However, at the end, or the begining as it was you could buy the chocolate. and I must say... it was fanbloodytastic!

Thank God! I thought this was a euphamistic thread about the indecent practises of fellow forumers. And I'm just reading De Sade!:gag:

I went about two years ago. If you like Cadbury's choccie, it is worth a trip down but is an afternoon out rather than a full day out so combine with a trip somewhere else as well.
I just wish Thorntons did something similar. Thornton's Theme park would be worth a visit!

I went about 5 years ago, when we were on a narrowboat holiday in the area - had a great time and my daughter (then 4) loved it and still remember it well.

They also had some good education packs for schools which my friend, a Design & Technology teacher, took off with him - stuff on designing products, marketing etc.
