yeah i know im openin myself up to a lot of riddicule of some people here but i liked it at the time.



Does anyone remember the happy hardcore raves of the 1990s (pleasure dome, destruction, vibalite and uprising.) It was so much fun at the time and i have lost contact with my freinds from thoses days and i was just wondering if anyone remembered them and wanted to share their stories although i very much doudt many people will have much to say about this.:clap:

I worked at occasions around 95... but I hate happy hardcore,
most of the people who used to come to the club were o.k and they allways left 'gurning like a good un' wouldnt like to take a guess on how many brain cells they destroyed on those nights out.. :hihi:

i do, and yesterday i was looking for some of my old tapes, used to go to Vibalite in Mansfield alot and sometimes to Uprsing!! Last year working in ibiza i had the huge pleasure of working on a night where Hixxy and Slipmatt played back 2 back........ oh the memories!!

vibalite was absolutely fantastic. as i live in darnal i attended the uprising at the adelphi quiet often. i was very young about 15 but i went with my older sister. id say these were so far the best days of my life. ive even got a destruction jacket which i cant seem to throw away and the last ever recordered live uprisin tape that they did before it was all closed down and i guard it with my life and very rarley i still go to the raves when they manage to do em without gettin caught. nice to know there are people who remember thnx for your reply

The rave scene? If you remember it too well you weren't really taking part!

I remember if it right as still got a tape somwere the good old helta skelta days down skeggy and ingoldmels.

And in the car park after all the cars with the rave music on tryin to out loud the other cars.Some times it was more better in the car park then the event it self.if my mind is right one dj's was Logan D.

I always found that a smoke with Pringles and a bottle of Coke from the petrol station did the trick.

Never really thought about dualling stereos, ears generally buzzing too much by then.

i couldnt agree more i probably do remember it to much lol oh well it was still great fun

i used to love love love happy hardcore in the early and mid ninties - so many fond memories !

going down town on a saturday to buy huge packs with 12 tapes in !! brilliant !!

heart of gold one of my fav tunes ! loved dj vibes and mc lively. i haven't got (or can't find) any of my old stuff now tho. would love to hear it all again !
