View Full Version : **NEW** Correct Score / Result Competition - Join Now.
matt1889 09-02-2010, 13:43 Hey up fella's just another Corker-like competition for you all to have a go at, this time in the form of a Correct score / Result competition.
The game itself is simples, I will select 10 games from a set fixture list on any given match day whether it be a weekend of midweek, and all you have to do is predict what you think the result will be.
I when when applicable always include both Sheffield teams to try and keep it in line with the Sheffield Football section rules and also to make it more interest, who knows what with it being a competition to see who can get most right, people might actually be more rational and put more realistic non biased predictions.
I will contsruct a league table after every week and tally up the scores from now until the end of the season.
The points system will the the same as what a normal team get in the league, being 3 points for a correct score (eg 3-1), and then 1 point for the correct result (eg you predict 3-1 and they win but 2-1 or 1-0 etc).
Todays predictions will just be a mess about to see how much interest it gets and then I will post the weekends selection later in the week.........
** Todays 15 to Predict** (mess around, not for league)

It dunt start while next week, that was a pre season friendly.
Anyway good luck, not gonna bother myself it is a bit too long winded for me.
hurstyowl 10-02-2010, 14:44 it is pretty long, i think a 5 match one would do matt, or like the super 6 on skysports

There's no such thing as friendly when it comes to competition.
Just do what I did.
Copy and paste Mick's well thought out post, finger tap dance on the keyboard for a few seconds, and BINGO!! top of the 'pre-competition friendly league!
You don't think I was going to sit and work all that lot out did you?
I'm busy, I've got an Empire to run!
ahem ....... £100 !!
Antics^^ 10-02-2010, 21:15 I think the format is fine. It takes just a few minutes to complete it unless your Earwiggo who spent roughly an hour researching through form guides etc! :hihi:
Earwiggo 11-02-2010, 16:12 I think the formats fine an'all.
I'd be equally as happy with say 6 or 7 selected games as well.
Matt will come to a descision I'm sure.
