A friend of mine is applying for permission to keep a few hens in his council house garden.
Does anyone know how the council approve or deny permission?

as far as I'm aware, you didn't need to ask?? I think so long as the neigbours agree then its ok as apparently theyre noisy.. no more so than a dog if you ask me but hey ho

1 was given a chicken i called her gorgina, she would sit on my knee in the garden an id give her a chocice. my wife said i thought more of the chicken than her.18 months she only laid four eggs 4 eggs but not in a shell.end of my story is one sunny afternoon. looked out the window ,and i saw the fox looked again , and she had my beloved . GORGINA in her mouth. anyway my wife,s a happy bunny. now she,s gone to her happy hunting ground in the sky. get chickens you wont regret it.

He's really keen on getting some, its just that he had a fall out with 1 set of neighbours on the Tower house and he's worried that if the council ask them they will object just out of spite regardless of the fact they actually live in the opposite corner from them

get your chickens.its your life not theirs. perhaps you could offer them some eggs. read up on them, thers so many different kinds, of chickens you can get.dont ferget you must have a secure henhouse.... or the F.O.X. will have his chicken berger.......

I seem to recall there's an old law which states anyone can have chickens on their property and is in fact entitled to by law lol!
