Anyone know anywhere that does allergy testing in Sheffield?

I'm not 100% but I think Lloyds Chemist might do it, possibly even The Body Shop?

holland and barrett do food sensitivity testing several times a year, other than that dermatology at Hallamshire does it but you have to be refered, and even then it takes upto a year to get something done, usually a patch test.

the best idea is to keep a diary of foods eaten, items used, etc, then stop something different each week and keep a note of symptoms and differences.

urticaria is a very common problem now, its called Nettle Rash for those that have not heard of the normal term.

It is very uncomfortable, itchy and horrible to look at, i've had it for 6 years, a chronic case last 6 weeks according to hospitals. Treatment involves different antihistamines, and i had UV light treatment that helped a little bit, but not enough, and now i can't ever get sun burnt (i had to sign a disclaimer in case i got cancer)

Certain antihistamines can mean you can't give blood, (basically if the blood is given to someone allergic to the drug they could dies) ones such as telfast, which is a fantastic item, but i would rather suffer than not give blood.
