Hi, we're havng some renovation work done on our kitchen and we're having an existing double window removed and french doors installed however the existing lintel isn't big enough to go over the french doors.
Does anyone know anything about removing and replacing lintels? The wall is on a single story extension so it's not load bearing. Is this a big/expensive job?

Also once the french doors are in the existing external door will need removing and bricking up so if anyone could do both jobs at the same time it would be a big help.

It needs to be done quite soon so I'd like to get an idea of price and how long it would take.
