How on earth do I log out. Something weird has occurred making it impossible for me to log out. Help!

erm, click on logout then that should do it. Failing that try clearing your cookies.

clearing cookies....what browser are you using? Internet Explorer? if so, click Tools > Internet Options > General Tab > Delete

Whenever I close my browser or click on Log Out, it tells me I have logged out, yet, whenever I enter Sheff Forum in to the search engine...I open the page...and I see that I am still logged in.

That sounds like you've logged in again though if you've re-opened the forum.

How odd - on all the other forums I use closing your browser tab or the browser has the same effect as logging out - but on SF it does show you as still logged in - just checked by shtting down browser and using another pc that hasn't got SF log in details on it and I was still shown as being logged on to SF. Having not used log off for years it must appear I'm permanently logged on!

I should not be automatically logged in just from opening the Home Page, when I have not even entered my Password and Username. This has only just started today. Until now, I have had to manually log in every time. How do I manually clear my cookies?

Tools > Internet options then click on the general tab then delete cookies/files

The exact same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago and I've still not been able to log out - never had a problem before. Have had to create a new user on my actual PC, and then access SF via that, however if I try to access sheffield forum when logged onto the computer as me then I quite simply can't sign out of SF, even when my computer has been switched off. Shall try clearing cookies :)

Yes. Makes no difference. Does it matter that I am logging in through Mozilla? (although, it should not do, cos I have been using Mozilla for months, yet this problem has only just started today). I have just gone in to SF through Internet Explorer...and I had to manually log in....so, for some reason, the problem lies with Mozilla....perhaps.

I may stay a while...I just needed to know I could log out.....and then log in again. I like my little routines. I don't like to be trapped in strange places on cold, dark nights.
