Ahh be r8 a lil optomistic anyway to expect to get him back after cashing in on him in first place. W'eve signed two decent defenders anyway so i'm not too fussed about it at the minute.

did united actually enquire about him? although i havnt seen him as much as you blades id say £20k a week or whatever he's on is way too much for united to be paying for a full back

I'm unsure but I know a bloke who was speaking to Kyle Walker (far-fetched I know!) said Naughton wanted to return to us on loan. If he came back then he would probably be shifted to left-back, not his natural position.

Also 'Boro have a shed load of money from parachute payments, and have signed Scott McDonald for £3.5m earlier today!

i see michael tonge has gone to derby on loan, so looks like we will see him at the lane this weekend, he played for preston a few weeks back against us at the lane

He was on the pitch, i didn't see much evidence of him actually playing football.Even Harper can keep up with him!

Too right!
Don't forget Blackclocks interview last week when he said that United's good run was down to the newbies 'now knowing what it means to play for Sheffield United'
I STILL don't know what the players are supposed to make of it?

Theres two ways you can look at it, would there chairman want to send him back to a club where hes already paid a decent whack to for his services as they will obviously be paying some of his wages for Boro will he want give United even more loot.
The other side is it would have been perfect for both as he could have stayed with his family and has no fitting in to do in Sheffield, in all honesty i thought you and Middlesborough were just about on par club wise especially with them losing Adam Johnson, saying that though they still have the comfort of the parachute payments to splash around.

Money wasn't the problem, I posted on here a few days ago that Rednap wouldn't let him come to the lane.
So much for us getting the pick of loan players from spurs as was stated when the deal went through.

Yeah i can even remember that myself, was it an official clause or was it a supposed gentlemans agreement as they call it.
If it's a clause then they should be dare i say it (brought to justice) lol.

I thought Walker was a season long loan.
