i like vigays (veejays)??? dunno spelling... under the grovsener hotel in town
base2001 14-08-2005, 17:20 yea been looking at that one, but dont know what the food is like! i have been to SB's before just off near leadmill thats not too bad but looking for some where else, heard about balti kings but again dont know what the food is like!! guess it could be a matter of trial and error...
kall_sheff 14-08-2005, 18:27 amraj in crystal peaks ,quite expensive or chachas for a good buffet under 10£ quid.
wouldn't recommend Balti King at all.
If you want somewhere classy then try Cafe Guru which has great food, good contemporary interior and isn't hugely expensive.
absynthfairy 14-08-2005, 18:38 There's a lovely one in gleadless called little india - up by the church.
The nicest i've had in sheffield is Jinooks or something like that in crookes...

Not sure if this helps, but walked past this place last night and it had a nice smell!
Freddylee 14-08-2005, 19:40 You want proper "back home style" indian food?
then go to Gulshan on the wicker
Or even kashmir on spital hill
not the most prettiest decor but the food is how real indian food should be.
If your brave ask for "staff curry" OR "back home style" (a.k.a. "Apna" style)
crazybabe 14-08-2005, 19:44 The only 1 in sheff i been to is everest in Heeley, was best curry ive ever had
The Zeenat at Attercliffe is as good as anywhere if not better. very nice decor, excellent choice of dishes. If you're going on a Monday, it's buffet night!
Dilshad at Woodseats is Fantastic!
Mangla in spital hill does the best curries in sheffield IMHO.
ViJays is OK for food and the resteraunt decor is more classy.
I had terrible curries from Everest and the Kashmir curry centre in spital hill so I wouldn't recommend them.
I think Mangala is one of the best curry houses. There is a nice one in attercliffe as well but I cant remember the name of it!!
