Does anybody feed their puppy this?

We have a a tub of it in the kitchen that I need rid of as it didn't suit our puppy - anybody want it? Otherwise it's going to end up binned :(

Hi Lotti,
If this is still available could I possibly have it for Hugo? Not in a rush though as he has got some food to be going on with at the moment, but it would be very much appreciated :). Maybe Hugo and Bubbles could then meet once he's had his second injection?
Thanks a lot
Helen :)

Bubble's had her vaccs so I'm happy to bring her over if you want? :) She's in better health now - diarrhoea was definitely due to the food so she won't be giving him any nasties :)

I can give you this but the JWB puppy is tiny kibble pieces... I know giant breeds can accidentally inhale pieces of kibble larger than this so I would say actually it's better for a smaller puppy really. If you do still want it then that's fine - but they are really tiny pieces and I personally wouldn't feed it to a giant breed puppy :S

Happy to pop over though with Bubble and let them have a play :D That way I get to meet him too!

Hi Lottie,
At the moment he's on normal pedigree puppy food which is what he was fed on at sheff290's. We soak it in water first so it swells up and he's fine with this. Do you know whether the JWB is smaller than this size? In a few weeks time he's going to be swapped on to Royal Canin Giant breed puppy, but at the moment his breeder says it's too rich for him. If it is too small for Hugo, what age is the puppy food suitable for as Marley is just under one? I'll leave it for you to decide :)

We'd love for Bubble to come over so they can have a play and we can meet her, but I'm afraid I'm fully booked with home visits all of next week so it will have to be the week after if that's any good to you? :)

Hi Helen :) I don't know whether it's a different size but actually I have a box of Pedigree puppy that I was given and never used! You can have that for definite!

If he's going to move onto RC probably best not to change him several times and the JWB puppy is supposed to be for them up to 6 months but it could be mixed with whatever Marley's having I expect :)

Let me know when's good for you and I'll see when I can make it!

i agree not to change his food 3 times the thing is i have been through all these brands with my puppies in the past and found rc too rich for weaning bordeaux i wouldnt feed pedigree long term but its fab to wean pups on, they seem to do really well on it, i like giant royal canin as the kibble is large so they have to chew hence reducing bloat these cheap foods swell in there stomach

JWB Large breed junior also has big kibble sizes sheff290 :) Just in case you're looking for something a little less rich than RC :)

I don't know about JWB puppy kibble, but their Senior Light soaks fine. Mina's starting to get a bit picky, so I pour on boiling water and then mash it up a bit when it's cooled. If she's being really snotty about eating, I pour on more water until it's almost liquid and then she slurps it, like soup!!!:hihi:

Ah right - I've found that the adult soaks fine but I don't know about the puppy - I don't think I have needed to do it at all (need to soak Eddy's you see!)

They don't have a large breed puppy as far as I know but for junior (over 6 months) they do have a large breed with larger kibble sizes - just thought I'd let you know in case it helps if anyone asks :)

Some people have found that the JWB puppy is too rich whereas Junior, adult and senior are fine - hence it didn't suit Bubble... that said many people feed it with no problems - it just was no good for Bubbs.
