Just been to York, it smells of chocolate. Does it have a chocolate factory or something?

York is home to Rowntrees, makers of chocolate.

And there used to be a Terry's factory there as well, but I think its moving to Eastern Europe.

There's a big Nestle Rowntree factory a few miles out of the city centre. I used to live the other side of York so couldn't smell chocloate, but at certain times of year there was a strong smell of what I was told was sugar beet refinement. Almost a nice smell!

And if that was true they would have been called "goolies"!

When I was in Edinburgh a few mths ago I thought it smelled of Bran Flakes, but apparently it was the local brewery that I could smell.
