I've just found this in the bathrom cabinet. I remember it coming free with a magazine and obviously thought it was useful but now I can't remember what for. Any ideas?

Usually comes in either cream or tablet form and is a herbal remedy for lessening the length of time and severity of the bruise. May have other uses, this is the one I'm most familiar with though. utah 14-08-2005, 13:02 Thanks mysTique, I have a whopper of a bruise on my leg due to jumping over chairs at a concert. At 47 I really should know better :D I'll give it a go. thanks. :) pattricia 14-08-2005, 13:07 Yes, its definitely for sprains, bruises and swellings. Its very expensive to buy so look after it. I always have it in the house.Got a big bottle from qvc ,and it always comes in handy.Good for arthritis as well. lizzmobile 14-08-2005, 20:59 Yeehah! At last an arnica thread. Arnica (arnica montana) is THE best thing for bruises and tissue damage. It is a complete SAVIOUR when you have little children and even big ones, and they are forever bumping themselves. It doesn't have to be expensive, you can buy it homoeopathically for around £2.50 a pop and the cream is around £2 a tube (Nelsons). Most chemists do tincture also which is even cheaper. It's amazing if you are going to have an operation as it speeds up the healing process. After givign bith, it all heals up beautifully, inc C/sections (midwives couldn't believe I had no pain). We also take it a couple of days before and during our skiing holidays; gad the muscle strain is so much less. A certain professor Edzard Ernst at Exeter University did a study into it and came up with the result that it was a waste of money. I challenged him about this as I have photographic proof that it is not useless (5 yr old niece's HUMOUNGOUS bump into an iron gate at high speed to her forehead that disappeared before our very eyes on taking arnica), asking him which pharmaceutical company had funded his study and what product were they working on (prob based on arnica anyway) to replace it? He never replied, even though I wrote to him twice and had confirmation that he had received my letter. IT WORKS! It comes from the earth and it is wonderful. Hold on to your magic bottle, use it frequently and tell everyone about it. |
