Hi to all Sheffield Forum users. I'm looking for some good stand up comedy. does anyone know of any decent comedy clubs or comedy nights in the bars of Sheffield.

Never been but i've heard it's ok, and aparently they had one of the guys from Phoenix Nights there a couple of months back?

The Last Laugh comedy club at The Lescar is your best bet. Run by Toby Foster, every Thursday at 9pm.

Check out http://www.lastlaugh.biz or http://www.grinreaper.co.uk/ if you want a rather less professional, independent website.

There's also a comedy festival coming up in October, with Ross Noble, Daniel Kitson, Dave Spikey, Mark Thomas, Rob Newman and, um, Patrick Kielty all booked to play the City Hall.

Also toby foaster is going to organise a weekly night somewhere and also a festival but i dont know the details.
Id highly reccomend last laugh , i havent been this year due to playing footy on a thursday night now but i used to go allllll the tiime

The festival that Toby's organising is the Grin Up North festival as mentioned above, I'm sure they'll be more names added nearer the time.

The weekly night is, I believe, still going ahead, but Toby posts on here sometimes so I'm sure he'll be able to give more details.
