If you were in a crash in a remote place, would you or could you eat those you were with to survive.

Do we all have that instinct within us.

If you were hungry do you think you would act rationally.

i've been hungry before, it doesn't normally switch my mind off.

I'm sure I could anyway, if it was that or die.

i think humans have survival instinct and yes probably would.. why not? would you rather sit and die slowly or eat?
yeah it would be hard to deal with afterwords probably but then thats something else to deal with along with the fear of what happened.

its like people who have een in situations where its them or someone else to die, most people have let the other person go through fear of death themselves

You would ultimately come away if you survived a different person but I wonder how different if you had eaten somone to stay alive.

Yep, I'd eat 'em. If there really was nothing else, no vegetation, no animals, no fish. I'd only eat lean people though, all that fatty cholestorol would kill you.

I think if I had the means to cook them so it wouldn't be raw and tasted like chicken and I could wash it down with a Vodka and Dandelion & Burdock then Grubs Up!!

Another question for you, would you eat them if they were your relative?

A total stranger I could probably tuck into, but not sure about going for the Family Feast! :gag:

I would eat them alive because they would stay fresher longer. You couldn't eat a whole peron before he/she starts to go off unless it's Ronnie Corbett! So I would tie them to a tree and eat them very slowly.

Meat an two veg?

Did anyone ever see the issue of 'Bizarre' with the Cannibal nuns? They barbecued their Mother Superior so they could absorb her wisdom etc
The sight of her corpse sat up on a large bbq with most of her thigh missing is one that still lives with me

.....and I've gone right off my avatar now :suspect:

Eat them. If there is a nice fire going - bit of thigh or rump is supposed to taste like chicken.

Remember though - there are two ways to go on this - if you are going to choose to sacrifice one of the survivors in order to eat. Do you choose the strongest to eat so you can all gang up on him or her - otherwise you and that person could end up being the sole survivors and then it could be your turn to go on the bbq. Or do you eat the weakest?

Think I have problems envisioning where this would actually apply to me as I rarely venture where food cannot be found. Nature provides if you know where to look and what to look ofr.

There is of course the true story about the plane crash in the Andes and the young men who survive by eating the flesh of some of the victims. I think until you're put into a situation like that I don't honestly think you could say what you'd do. Obviously the will to survive is very strong but I don't think many people would or could resort to cannabalism.
I would of thought that if this was within everyone, i.e. the ability to eat humans then the seemingly never ending scenes of starvation in the third world would soon be swamped with media interest in any cannabalistic efforts and many of those people are literally dying of starvation.
