feeling bored i thought id have a go on championship manager coz its been a while

after championship manager 4 decided to crash mid-game (always happens to me) i decided to try a older version (i have 99-00 and 2001) but both give me this error messege when i try to start a new game.

`there is not enough available system memory, please free up some memory'

i have no previous game saves and i cant figure out why the newer game works but these wont!

ideas?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling and also free up some space on your hard drive might help - temp internet folders, recycle bin etc etc

Worth trying...good luck with it!!

:P

nah apparantly its some stupid problem the game has.

its not a copied game either....before any1 states this.

its championship manager 99/00 and i want to play!!!!!!!!!!! i found a patch but that did nothing to solve the problem.

the only advice i can find is to wipe my computer and put all the stuff back on....NO CHANCE!.

Are you using XP? try running it in compatability mode if you are. Quite a few older games come up with memory errors under XP.

thanks for the reply. yes im using xp

sadly that did nothing! i tried it on every setting...eg 95, 98 etc

i would just go buy another one but whats the point if it doesnt work. i have championship manager 4 and it works fine...but i just dont like it as much. :(

My boyfriends had a similar problem with the latest champ manager game as well on pc. It says something along the lines of the original disc cannot be verified. Not the pc because tried it on a different one and exactly the same thing happens. Took it back to shop and got a replacement and surprise surprise, its happened again.
