Any decent suggestions for activites for either voluntary or other for recently early retired from work,for example, walking clubs,or non fee paying courses.

The Sheffield Help Yourself website has details of social and friendship clubs for over 50s. We also hold details of walking/rambling groups in Sheffield as well as other sporting and leisure activities. Please see the link in the signature below for more information.

I don't know if you've already seen it, but the do-it website has a list of loads of volunteering opportunities in Sheffield. All you need to do is choose what you're interested in and type in your postcode, then you're away! Just use Google to search for 'do-it ' and you'll find the page (this forum won't allow me to type the website address yet).
