Very good idea! You'll be the ones that the failing item on ebay turns to! :D . As the sites grows it may be an idead to have a category to choose from and i'm unsure if you allow people to add photos.
I would have thought that you definitely want to have the ability for pictures - that's one of the major things I look for on ebay or other private sales.
Another essential (especially if/when it gets big) is the ability to find things geographically - either listing by say county (ordering by town is a start, but what about nearby towns that you'd miss?) or within a certain distance of a postcode.
Categories might also be useful, so you could browse the available furniture, or computer equipment.
I'm just trying to imagine what it would look like with a few thousand available items... Think how you would browse through them efficiently. But the concept is good! (although there is already a Sheffield-based one whose name escapes me)
We had this the other day.
I think it's bordering on spam now, next new thread about this is definitely in spam territory.
Lost some marks for that in my book.

Definitely needs the ability to upload photos.
If this is a problem then the I'm Interested form could do with being expanded to include a comments box (I assume this is a form that generates an email to the person advertising?) - the comments would be added to the email so if someone is interested they could request photos etc. I know that once the email has been generated the two parties can communicate but I think it would be useful to allow interested people to ask questions of the advertiser at the start.
Also I only had a quick glance at the Ts and Cs but you need something in there that specifically says that you are not responsible for the quality of the items listed, and that you act as an introducing agent only blah blah blah.
Other than that, great idea, excellent easy to use interface, good work fella.
the yellow and green colours are foul
I would like to thank everyone for the feedback i recieved.
I have taken on board everyone's advice and over the next few months hope to implement some of the suggestions.
Regards

Nice idea, nice site - not sure about the colour scheme though.
Perhaps something a little less... violent? Maybe a nice blue?

Apart from the frame, I can see nowt wrong. Colour scheme is up to you and it works the way you've delt with it.
