Does anyone know if the Blackpool v wednesday match is on the radio tonight.
I know a lot of wednesday fans on sf listen to their team on the radio so could any of them give me any advice as what station to tune into please?

Thanks in advance.
Alex.

Are you sure because I heard radio sheffield were in a contractual dispute and may not be broadcasting it.
I don't want to cause any panic amongst the owls faithful listeners but does anyone know if this is true?

I know you can't get it online via Radio Sheffield on the iplayer due to the deal they have to broadcast it live on Wednesday World but not sure about ' normal ' radio as I cant get s radio Sheffield signal down here.

I know that's almost always the case, but we managed to get the QPR v United FA Cup replay online via the BBC on GLR, or whatever it's called these days. Maybe BBC Lancashire are streaming it online?

Mmmmm, not on BBC Lancashire though. .

Think I'm going to have another play with that new digital aerial I bought yesterday that gives me a big fat 0 extra channels and see if I can get an increased signal to my radio.

No good to me pal, we can't get radio sheffield near crystal peaks where we live.
I suppose the wednesday fans on sf round here have to go to owls friends in other areas to listen to it.
Shouldn't be a problem as there seems to be quite a lot of sf owls following their team on the radio.

Try the Chesterfield transmitter, 94.7 or try 104.1, one of them should work I think.

It's amazing how Dave Allen and the spire fans cans listen to the owls matches but geniune sf wednesday fans in the crystal peaks area can't.
It's a bit much when they have to leave their own home every game to listen to their team.

Can you still get the score 'live' on teletext? That's also popular with some Wednesday fans.

You can on bbc mate but not on any itv channels anymore.
It's not as good as listening to it on the radio though, thats like actually being there but you are blindfolded.

This blindfold option is the best choice and is even better than being at a Sheffield United game.

Thanks for all the Blades comments and kind words regarding my 'spot on' prediction of 2-1 to the Wednesday boys.
I'm sorry I had to leave you all last night, but it's quite impossible to stay awake for 24 hours a day every day, especially when one has a bit of driving to do.
Anyway, I got the job done ok, and you Blades will be glad that I got back safe and sound.
Great result for our boys last night, though, of course, the outcome was never in doubt and thoroughly expected.
I was a bit disappointed that there were only two or three Blades trying to belittle me last night, where's all the others gone?

As United did against us, we took our foot off the pedal at 2-0 so it's inevitable that we would come under a bit of pressure, and that match stats would be a bit cloudy.
We thrashed 'em, only the second team to do so at their ground this season.
No luck involved, just a good team, well managed, doing a sound professional job.

I was just using some of the Owl's posters logic in relation to last nights game, that sometimes stats don't show a true reflection of the game, they just use them to suit their argument.

not a lucky win at all. the reason we had so many fouls? because the referee was an absolute tool, their player ran into purse they both went down and were all chearing thinking hed finally given a decision our way just to realise hed gave them a free kick just outside the area :hihi: one thing for sure we need our midfield sorting quickly, the centre of it anyway, blackpool everytime they got the ball there they just walked through it, gray is not good enough to be playing for wednesday.

I thought Wednesday looked solid, at times i thought i was watching a different team.
Hurstys right about the central midfield, and Gray has had his day and just isnt good enough anymore.

not confident of a promotion at S2?

oh and agreed with the strafford thing.....well, kinda, dont think he's failed - but he hasnt seceeded yet (if that makes any sense lol!)

NO not confident, just hopeful. realistically it would have to be a play-off final win, and we know how good the Blades are in them.:)

It's a real shame that United ever only push for promotion, but very rarely achieve it.
It must be very frustrating for United fans at times.
Sometimes it's better for fans to realise (like Wednesday fans for instance) that you're just not good enough.

Frustrating yes but they still go in droves week after week. 24,000 there just this past saturday
We are taking almost as many to Bolton as you had for you Cup match against Palace.
wednesday fans realise your not good enough, thats a laugh, us Blades thought you were Real Madrid under Laws playing all this wonderful football you kept chuntering on about.
Well now you are more like Real Zaragoza :hihi::hihi:

They'd buy the tickets no matter what name you put on them.
Good result at Blackpool last night wasn't it, I heard it on the radio?

Of which 143 Blades were satisfied with the performance.
Thousands at the game supported the losing team.
I can see where you're coming from when you sometimes get Wednesday and Real Madrid mixed up.
Wednesday are the team usually in blue, Madrid usually play in all white,

not on about attendances again are we :help: lol
well wednesdays average gate so far is about 22,500 for league games so i reckon thats pretty damn good for a team whos been in bottom 3 for a long long time
on that reckoning, i think we'd get an extra 3k in AT LEAST if we were in the PlayOffs

damn u got me goin on bout attendances now!!!!!!!!!!

It's funny there's not much mention of the 2,000 or so Blades who've slunk away over the last few weeks of watching Blackwell's dross.
Weren't they getting 26,000 not so long ago?

And some people wont watch the pigs, they prefer to go to TJ Hughes, listen to it on the radio or watch it in a pub on a dodgy telly ;)

You're too late CB, I've already said that United fans won't watch their team of pigs in the post above.
I don't normally resort to this stupid name calling but when irate Blades start it off, it's difficult to let it lie.

I wouldn't bother blades74, it seems since the demise of MR BENN Earwiggo has decided to take up the position of the daftest Wednesdayite on the forum.
