View Full Version : Pikeys just nicked my Brother's motor!
Can't believe it, some thieving pikey has just had my brother's car away while his back was turned!
He was parked across the road from "Rare & Racey" on Devonshire Green and found it gone when he came back from his sojurn into town.
If anyone sees and abandoned maroon Ford Fiesta with four doors...please let me know?!?
:suspect:
spiffymonkey 12-08-2005, 15:52 Sorry to hear about this. I know only too well what it's like to have a car pinched. Hope it all gets sorted out.
How old was the car? If it was an older one, it might not be worth claiming it on the insurance as the premiums will ROCKET (I have been forced to take TPFT over comprehensive due to the hike after my car was half-inched - wish I'd not claimed it now).
On another note - not heard of 'pikeys' for ages! Makes a change from 'chav scum', anyway :)
Thanks for the understanding advice...it was an old model and he's still hoping that the thieving b*ggers will just abandon it and not bother burining it out.
*Twinkle* 12-08-2005, 16:37  I will keep an eye out for you. What reg is it?

I agree about the hike in claims. I had to shift my insurance company because of the huge premiums demanded by my existing company after one theft and two smash and grab thefts. I've had a good alarm fitted now and don't leave anything worth nicking in the motor.
With regard to 'pikey', I thought this was a Romany term

It is, although just before the rise of the term 'chav' it grew to encompass anyone who shopped at Aldi
rogermoore 13-08-2005, 13:58 Thats just typical!

No, this can't be right. Don't you mean Netto?
Anyone seen it intact or burnt out?:(

andy4107 16-08-2005, 01:36 Yeah. Sorry to hear about that.
I had some kids have a go at my car a few months ago outside my house, but lucky for me I was up reading the wonderful Sheffield Forum's (okay maybe it was porn I was watching, but shhh!..) and heard them trying to gain access.
I shouted out the window and they ran off. Leaving me with £200 of damage to folk out for... :( little ****s.
My brother was happy to hear that his car has been found in City Road Cemetery after having the passenger door lock jimmied, the ignition smashed and the seats become the victims of a failed attempt to set them alight (the stupid little t*ssers couldn't even get them burning!).
He has it back and thanks for the support guys and girls.
Pete1024 17-08-2005, 17:33 Another car crime 'from the manor' most likely.
City road cemetery, good walking distance to the post office to pick up ones doll check and then a brisk walk home to ones free house.
'That was fun, lets do it again tomorrow' said Chris age 12 to Mikey the Pikey age 8

I can... perhaps they didn't have enough NCD to be able to protect it, companies want 3-5 years NCD before you can protect. And more money.
Not that protecting it stops your premium going up, it just means you keep your % discount the same against the new sky high premium
