Hi guys, wonder if anyone can help me.

Home pc was working fine and when I went to a page on the tinter I got internet explorer cannot display the webpage. Ive run a diagnostic and its says (among other things);
error renewing the ip address: the semaphore timeout period has expired

Is this a problem with my pc or with my supplier? Im with sky broadband and never had any problems with pc or sky before. My laptop still works which is why I can get on here to post this, no problem with connection.

Please note that I know nothing about computers!!!

Dont worry folks. Think its resolved. I turned the whole thing off and on again and it seems to be working.

It did something to my McAfee though and I have to reinstall that for some reason.

I seem to be having a gremlin week with electric. Dishwasher, washing machine and now pc.:mad:
