I can't get my microphone to work, even bought a new one, still no joy. I have checked that microphone is also switched on, on the speaker panel. Can anyone help me?

Make sure that it is plugged into the correct socket. They are usually colour coded.

If you are using Windows XP, go to Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Voice and you will see a button "Test Hardware".
