View Full Version : I'm sure there's a thread somewhere, but I can't find it!

I remember seeing a thread somewhere, in which there were postings about one of the BT Voyager modems not being able to handle the current upgrades.

I have a friend, with whom I work, who is having trouble with her internet connection (in fact she can't connect at all), is connecting via a BT Voyager 100 modem, and is with A O Hell.

Was it the BT Voyager 100 that was mentioned previously, or something else?

I can't tell you what the error messages are that she receives, but she said that both arrows in system tools are showing as green.

I know this is rather vague, but can anyone help.

:help:

The Bt Voyagers are rubbish but they work ok most of the time.

If you've got two green arrows (and two green lights on the front of the Voyager) then the ADSL is up and working but your computer just needs to dial the connection. Did you get a CD which put an icon on the desktop saying 'connect to internet' or something similar?

Failing that, go to Start, Settings, Network connections and there may be an option in there to dial broadband. If not, I can mail you a dialer that should work.

Sorry if this isn't useful, it's a quiet day at work so I'm making a busybody of myself in the techie forums!

Hope this helps.
