Hi, i am due to rehome a kitten in the next few weeks, she will need her vaccinations and i was shocked at the difference in prices. I have seen Abbey vets advertised just wondered whether any one has used there services as they seem really reasonable....

Sadly we are petless at the moment but in the past we always used Abbey. They were friendly, very helpful and sometimes half the price of other vets. Id recommend them to anybody.

i just cant believe the price differences and the fact that they are open 365 days a year is perfect, but it worrried me it was too perfect

better to be safe than sorry, I will certainly get the little one registered there thank you

There main surgery is based in Barnsley, yeah really good open every day, nice to have peace of mind.

As I said on another thread, we had a terrible experience with one of our cats at Abbey and would advise any one to steer well clear.

Also, in emergency, you have to go to Barnsley as they are only open limited hours at the smaller branches. If you can't get to Barnsley in the middle of the night, I'd probably say to try and find a vet who does their own out of hours locally to you.

We used Abbey Vets in High Green on Christmas Eve as our dog had a suspected stroke. They saw us at short notice even though we weren't registered there.
Highly reccomend them based on my experience at a traumatic and upsetting time. The vet was not short of brilliant!

Abbey at High green neutered my 2 rabbits and were very good, after care was excellent giving me a call in between the follow up appointment to make sure all was well with them, knowledgeable vet.
I don't think that it was the High green branch that was a problem to Haddock man, maybe he would just set that straight? good point about the out of hours though and that might be a consideration.

No it wasn't High Green, but as far as I know all the vets are based in Barnsley and go out to the branches each day for surgeries?

Just my experience anyway.

Yes you are quite right they do send everything for surgery to Barnsley :)
