Hiya, after doing a quick 118.com type yellow pages search, No.
There used to be "Cleethorpes Zoo and Marineland" but unfortunately it closed in 1978.
If you have Adobe, then click this link (www.defra.gov.uk/wildlife-countryside/gwd/pdf/zoos-list0503.pdf ) and it has a list of all zoo's open in England, March 2005.
Hope this is of help.

There is a butterfly house type thing in cleethorpes, but I wouldn't say it's worthy of a full day trip, but if you went on a sunday you could go to the market and eat loads of carp as well!

It was quite a good zoo and yes it was a long time ago that it closed.

Don't think my kids would fancy a butterfly house.

there's a small animal thing next to the train line - passes an hour on...the kids can feed the animals - there's pleasure island , makes a day of it with the market, 1/2 hour on the beach, the new coffee bars and chips :)

Wonder if anyone does any coach trips to Twycross?

Its not a bad zoo. But if you do go then take a picnic......the food in the cafe is pretty ropey....thinks its what the animals leave!!

My kids do really like going on the rides, they prefer going in the arcades but i'm sure there are plenty of them at Cleethorpes.
But i would still rather take them to a zoo. :)

It should be worth the money though.

I was told by the tourism people in Chester recently that a couple of years ago Chester decide that it wanted to be on of the top 5 zoo's in Europe. So, they went and had a look at all the European zoo's and came back and decided that they were already the best in Europe!

They have (from memory) 5 times more visitors than London Zoo.!

Their plan is now to be in the top 5 in the world alongside Chicago and Beijing.
