Is Nethergreen/ Hanging Water a good area? How does it stand in relation to Crookes/ Hillsborough/ Sharrow/ Netheredge/ Woodseats/ Beauchief etc?

Yeah it's a great area, most like beauchief out of the list I'd say.

much better than Beauchief, close to Fulwood and Ranmoor

I think it's a great area and IMO 'better' than the other areas you mention.

Me thinks every place has its charm. All the places you mentioned seem reasonable to live!

Really nice area! Am moving there myself soon and it is one of the greenest places in Sheffield. Crime rate is low as well!

Hangingwater isn't really an area; isn't it a road name?

I'd have:

Top - lower.

Beauchief - nice
Nether Green - nice
Crookes - nice
Woodseats - nice
Hillsborough - nice
Nether Edge - OK
Sharrow - OK

In the main, I'd sum them up as 'nice' or 'OK'.

nether green is very nice, close to bingham park too, where you can walk straight out into open country/ peak district

Hanging Water is lovel. Basically an extension of Ranmoor or Fullwood. Never green is pretty similar.

much nicer area than Woodseats, Walkley, Nether Edge, Sharrow and Crookes.

however Crookes has a better transport network. That would be the only downside there.
