I have been twice now, its a lovely place to go on holiday, its as lively or as quiet as you want it to be really, some very nice bars and restaurants especially italian and chinese. We stayed at Fiesta Cala Nova the first time, it was brilliant and we are wanting to go back next year. Each wednesday there is a Hippy Market which is great and you can haggle, also there is an irish put called Murphy's which is great for live music. There are some great trips to go on too, we went to Formentera which is Ibiza's sister island, that was lovely. Also you can get on the bus and go to the old town which is great. I just love the place.

Is that the resort bang next to Santa Eulalia? I have been there and I think i may have been in to Es Cana.

Yeah.....i went 4 years ago & just loved the chilled atmosphere of the whole place. We stayed in S'Armagassa, which is a 10-15 min stroll from Es Cana.
The hippy market is wonderful.....very colourful.....and very HOT.

I used to live in Santa Eulalia, Es Cana is brill. Infact Ibiza is brill, It really annoys me that the beautiful island has such a bad reputation.
Good to hear someone else raving about Ibizas "finer" resorts.

We had one of our best ever holidays staying in Es Cana at the hotel Coral Playa, which I believe is now an all inclusive place.

There is a beach about five/ten minute walk on the road opposite the CP that is almost always quiet.

Check out a website called Holidays Uncovered - it gives reviews (by paying punters) of every hotel and resort you could ever want to visit.

Yeah, I've been to Es Cana twice (last time was about 8 years ago.) But my lucky family are jetting off there tomorrow :)

It's a lovely place, although compared to other places I've been to, it isn't that quiet.

Es Cana is great....spent 3 weeks there about 4 years back, really laid back place, no toruble, no groups of ***** on lager crawls like other places on the island, very cool. best was the HIPPIE MARKET which was a short walk from the town centre, forget which day of the week it is but its superb day out in itself.
Top bars on the beachfront, but not full of lager supping idiots as you would expect. great for caravan parks as well if looking for a very cheap break ,but they are a bit on the basic side.

Thats what I like about Es Cana the fact that there is no lager louts or loads of girls in skimpy outfits at night trying to pull everything that wears trousers. It is the best holiday destination ive been to, been elsewhere like Greece and Turkey but didnt enjoy those half as much as Ibiza. The locals are friendly and you can guarantee that the weather will be nice.

While its obvious that everyone loves the place, and i am not disputing the fact that its really cool and friendly.............A couple of years back in Es Cana I had my bag pinched from underneath my (then) two year old's pushchair. I had put it there cos I felt a bit wary of having on my shoulder and I thought it would be safe.
I know things like that can happen anywhere but it took the shine off the place for us.
Beautiful holiday in Menorca this year though, in Sa Caleta, highly recommended, clean, just quiet enough and very friendly.

Es Cana Fab for families we have stayed there three times in the last five years. Anfora Playa nice family run hotel decor a bit dated but spotless, and the staff will help you day or night..

Murphys bar has gone now

Thats a shame that Murphy's has gone, I really enjoyed going there for the live music.
