I just had to share this and it's not a joke.
I got on a 97 bus at the market to go to the bottom of the moor, it set off then turned into fitzallan sq to change drivers, very annoying.
I did'nt take much notice until about 5 min had passed, with much noise and shuffling about in the drivers cab, and then the driver got out of the cab and said,I quote,
"Sorry ladies and gents but this is one of the buses that I can't drive as my feet won't reach the pedals if you want to change buses; ect"
I looked, and sure enough he was very, verticaly challanged, I looked for hidden camaras but no, it was true, First are now employing anybody even out of work pantomime extras [the guy was a real gent and everyone felt for him, he must have been embarrassed but handled himself really well] are things so bad at First that they can't find drivers who can drive every bus?

This could be true, I remember taking over a route 75 at Arundel Gate and because I have long legs and the drivers seat would not go up enough they had to get me another bus from Olive Grove that I could fit my long legs into the cab, If you think I was going to drive for 5 hours in a childbirth position then you must be crazy. if my memory serves me right it was 602 bus ( Yellow Single Decker Volvo )
