Just spreading the word about a really nice choir I saw in the winter gardens a week, they sang less traditional carol songs and it was a nice alternative to the constant barrage of 'We wish you a merry xmas or 'santa clause is coming to town'. Good as well because they steer away from strong religious undertones. Anyway, they are on tonight at the Sheffield Cathedral, not sure how much tickets but they are definitely worth seeing - 7pm start. Top tip for a christmassy evening like the old days.

The fact my dad runs the choir has nothing to do with my bias, they are really good!!
