hi, i turned my computer on and nothing happened, no noise's no lights no nothing! i looked round to the back and could smell i hind of burning!! so im guessing i need a new power supply! :( but i hope it wouldnt have damaged no other computer partss?! could any one shed some light on this!!

My guess would be you're right about the power supply. If so then it's unlikely to have damaged anything else and will be cheap/easy enough to replace.
Throw it in a skip honey! :mad:
Power supplies are dirt cheap.
Nip to the next computer fair at Don Valley Stadium and you'll be able to pick one up for a tenner.
Make sure it's powerful enough though - 300 to 400 Watts should be ok.
Or take it to your local PC repair shop. Power supply changing is pretty straight forward and they'll be happy to take the job on.

If you value your PC, DON'T buy a £10 power supply.
Have a search though this section of the forum for PC power supplies to see what others have advised.
Yup, cheap power supplies will blow the rest of your PC, it happened to my friends PC. The cheap PSU she had sent a spike through the rest of the system and took the whole machine out.
