is there any way of turning the wi-fi on at start up.
its an advent 5301 and the wi-fi as to be started by pressing the fn + f10 key together.
what im wanting is some way of it doing automatically.

I've just read a review of this laptop and it looks like there is no auto switch on.

search intel pro switch see if thats any good stab in the dark here duno if you could modify it.

its stupid advent
mainly on the newer 1s
supposed to make the battery last longer and make them more secure
be better if they put an on and off setting in the bios though
at least its got rid of the advent boot screen up lol

as you know advents are rebadged laptops made by different companys
found out the original maker of my laptop and used their bios update which as the wi-fi on as default
all done, jobs a good un lol
please note im not advising anybody to do this with their laptops as you could end up totally bricking it but it worked for me
