I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. Can you recommend a good Spectrum emulator that will work on this? I'm OK on Linux, but don't know where to look for one on Windows 7. Cheers. :)

Shucks! Ghozer is quicker than me (that's probably because it's in his bookmarks!) Ghozer 06-01-2010, 19:46 Shucks! Ghozer is quicker than me (that's probably because it's in his bookmarks!) actually no, I googled it too... though I have been after one myself, but i'm not on my PC atm so :) swarfendor43 06-01-2010, 19:48 My favourite 'free' spectrum game of all time was on SU - the kamikaze bear and the crates which could be used to crush the chasing characters - basically pacman rewritten - the bear was so Kute! best regards, swarfendor43 segasonic 06-01-2010, 22:21 My favourite 'free' spectrum game of all time was on SU - the kamikaze bear and the crates which could be used to crush the chasing characters - basically pacman rewritten - the bear was so Kute! best regards, swarfendor43 I remember 'Bear a Grudge' from one of the SU covertapes, it starred Kamikaze Bear in a Space Harrier style game. Ace. :D RyoHazuki 07-01-2010, 08:11 Obviously I Googled it and found a few. Sheesh, I might look daft...! I was hoping for some forum members to be able to expand on their experiences of the emulators and recommend the best one from that. I've never heard of ZXSpectrum4. Didn't want to go downloading stuff willy-nilly without a bit of feedback. Ah well. Never mind. Thanks anyway. auto98uk 07-01-2010, 09:15 Surprised you don't know this site if you are into speccy - easily the biggest collection of emulators and games for the speccy http://www.worldofspectrum.org/ segasonic 07-01-2010, 09:31 Can't remember which Speccy emu I used on PC, I use the DS for Speccy emulation now. Cycle-perfect emulation, 1:1 pixel ratio, all models supported AND you get the rubber keyboard on the touch screen. :D RyoHazuki 07-01-2010, 10:10 Surprised you don't know this site if you are into speccy - easily the biggest collection of emulators and games for the speccy http://www.worldofspectrum.org/ Again, yes I know that site, but there's quite a few to choose from and none of them specify W7. You have to remember A) I've been using Linux almost solely for about three years and only just got W7, and B) I was hoping to hear of your experiences (and reminisces :D). |
