No-one in sheff does a chicken bhuna that even comes close.. very very tasty and very cheap! Zebedee99 19-08-2005, 21:24 The mighty JAFLONG at Crookes is first klass. It's on Northfield Road near junction with Cobden View Road. I recommend the Vindy, Tindy and Phall, others may take a lesser option. Their tel 0114 2661802. Tell em Grubby send ya. danum 19-08-2005, 21:45 Royal Spice on South Road, Walkley. I've just had a cracking jalfrezi from there. ben_smith 20-08-2005, 13:37 The Clay Oven, on Oakbrook Road just off Rustlings Road is, beyond an iota of doubt, the best curry house in Sheffield. ben Captain_Scarlet 20-08-2005, 14:37 Everest, Chesterfield Road, Meersbrook. THE oldest indian restaurant in sheffield est 30 years ago, the most decorated. It's the bomb ! KookyKoo 21-08-2005, 10:08 Mr Kooky and I had a takeaway from Cafe Guru on Westfield Terrace last night- veggie pakoras, lamb balti, lamb tikka masala, sag aloo, mushroom pilau rice and garlic naan (oh and free poppadoms and chutney/raita/onions)- the food was sooooo good, reasonably priced and only took about 15mins waiting time. They couldn't offer us a table to sit down and wait though, as they were all taken by people eating there- always the sign of a decent restaurant methinks. whotookindy 24-08-2005, 16:23 Since we moved to Sheffield following recommendations up here we visited Kashmir and Mangla. I have to say I couldn't say which one is better. Very cheap and delicious and very authentic food at both places. Mangla is a bit classier (still no tablecloth), but Kashmir is a great experience. We sampled the specials and if I really had to choose I'd go for Kashmir. But we are definitely going to visit them again. |
