Hi
Just wondered if anyone could help?

Everytime i try to connect to internet explorer it comes up with the following error message "internet explorer has encounted a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience". I have tried to restore the system but this has not been sucessful.

Thanks

Does it only happen when you try to connect to a particular site? How are you posting on here?

Sounds like you need to remove internet explorer, and re-install it.

Go to your Add and remove programs in control panel, then to "Windows Components" on the left menu..

from there un-tick Internet Explorer, click ok, and once its done reboot.

then go back into there, and Re-tick it, click ok and let it reinstall then see if it works..

Let us know the results.

Ive had this problem before, but restoring all defaults sorted it out. But then again sometimes now and then it comes back.

What version of IE were you using? It's a lot more stable with version 8 than the older versions, but my advice would be to bin IE altogether and get a copy of either Chrome or Firefox.

Or the ORCA browser that is good.

Not discovered ORCA browser before (not to be confused with Orca Screenreader for GNU/Linux!). Just discovered this (http://blog.avantforce.com/avant-browser-on-ie-ballot-screen/) but never seen it in any IE update!

Perhaps this is because:

"Starting in March, Microsoft will deliver the ballot screen via Windows Update for users of Windows XP, Vista and 7 in 30 European countries."
