Oh dear !! Just been watching this new programme. Its a blatant take off, of The XFactor but in dance form. It just doesnt come off, and is no competition for Strictly Come Dancing (not in the same league). Arlene Philips was kicked off SCD (in which she was terrific) and into this second rate programme. Will it improve as the weeks go by ? Did you enjoy it ? :gag:

It's been running in America for a few seasons, now, and is apparently quite popular.

It's been shown on UK sat/cable channel, Living.

I have mixed feelings about its merits. I love to watch dancing, but I agree with you that it's a little bit "Dance-factor/ X-Idol ;) in its premise. It's also got the same "Hopeful-but-utterly-useless/talentless-and-deluded type of contestant base.

Thanks for your response PT. I dont like the same music played in the background, (as theXfactor) when the contestant is turned down . Know what I mean ? (tearjerkers)

Wasn't the large lady who went off in an ambulance after falling off the stage, the same one that got her messy tits out in Britains Got Talent?

I don't know, I'm not keen on either BGT, or people getting messy bosoms out, but she was a bit on the flipping big side to be chucking herself off the edge of the stage like that.

They said she'd been carted off in the Ambulance, but they didn't say how serious the injury was.

What I want to know is, why everyone who goes on is always (Apparently) doing it for their dead mother, who died of cancer five years before they were born, (*cough*)

I'm beginning to think a "Sob-story" seems to be mandatory for contestants on these sort of shows...

I think she experienced another delusional episode, and attempted to audition for yet another reality show, where she ended up doing herself a mischief by hurling herself off the edge of the stage...

How many more dancing programmes do we need, ever time i turn on the TV it is was either dancing on ice, dancing with the stars, Strictly Come Dancing, dance like Michael Jackson, or what other dancing programme i may have missed out in the past. Ok i know many like to watch these and fair enough, but why so many.
And has i have read this programme is like BGT, i to also get fed up of people trying to get sob story on their side for the vote on all reality shows, first time round yes it may be upsetting to hear when these programmes all started, but now it is just stupid, and to many people use it all the time, i know people have sob story just like many do, but i wish they stop using it to try get some were, if you got the talent then show us and get on with it.

There is a dance programme starting on sky 1 today I think. And I really enjoyed the dance programme on channel 1 last night I prefer it to xfactor and singing.

Having watched the American version of this show I can happily say i'm a huge fan of it. I actually think it's much better than X-factor, Britain's Got Talent, and blows Strictly completely out of the water. Some of the choreography that they have is unbelievable, and they don't seem to go in for the sob story approach.

I would love some of the American choreographers to do a spot on the British version (Shane Sparks, Mia Michaels and Wade Robson especially) but i'm also looking forward to what the British Choreographers have to offer.

Stick with it folks - it is really good i promise. And much better than the Sky show (Got to Dance) which seems to be Britains Got Talent for dancers.

Don't do it pattricia - stick with Nigel and Co. Much better show i promise you!

And yes it does get much better once you get to the live shows rather than the auditions.

Me and the missus are avid watchers - can't wait for tomorrows!

I LOVE the american version, the choreography and dancers on it are stunning.

The highlights for the british version have been some of the lyrical and contemporary choregraphy. I love it! Although last night was not the best night.

So who's gonna win?
