A real good treat! The set opened with Utopia, all sang pitch perfect. They also did my favourite song EVER! Deerstop, from the first album, Felt Mountain. Every time i hear that song i get goosebumps...
What a voice! One minute it's operatic, the next it's stomping anthemic pop such as the infectious Strict Machine.
No miming here! This woman is a genuine talent and she oozes charisma, sex appeal, imagine Kylie with a bigger, more powerful voice and you get the idea.
Quite why Alison Goldfrapp is not a household name is beyond me but from what i heard tonight that may well change.
The single Ooh La La is out now, and one listen and it will be in your head all day. And the new album looks to be full of radio friendly romps that just may squeak into the top 10.
If you went, i bet you left singing " i need ooh la la la la la
i need ooh la la la la" I did.
