Has anyone been able to set up Talktalk on an ipod that actually works? I'm going round in circles with Talktalk and itunes but neither of them are any help.
I just keep getting an error message saying the username and password are invalid with the incoming address of mail.talktalk.net...?

Hi
Yes i use this set up myself. I did come across one minor problem when setting up the i touch. When entering the password for the Talk Talk wireless network, the itouch had found. The password was a mix of numbers and letters. The letters were all upper case!!
However the itouch seems to default back to lower case, once you have entered a capital letter, if you with me. So you need to press upper case arrow on every letter. Hope that works. It did for me.

Ah, now that makes sense if it is doing that. I'll have to check it later when I'm home and make sure each letter is correct. Thanks!

I've got a TalkTalk > iPod Touch set up that works fine. I don't recall any problems during set up! My password is alphanumeric, all lowercase.
it seems like neutronium is talking about the wifi password/key, and the OP is asking about email...
quite simply, you need to use imap, it is the same server settings (mail.talktalk.net, and smtp.talktalk.net though) but your username would be phonenumber@talktalk.net - unless you set up any additional email accounts.

I think it could still be related though as I haven't checked if the password is case sensitive or not. I'll check the imap thing...

talk talk passwords are case sensitive, for the router connection login, website login and email login...
