Hi all,
im thinking of ordering one of these tv's "LG M2762D" with 1080p hd.
It has a pc input.
I also want to use it for my pc monitor which has a "Nividia Geforce fx 5200" grafics card which has a dvi and vga output.
If i go into screen properties i can select up to 2048/1536.
My question to you all is will this disply on the LG tv?
Thanks all.

Hi Aerobird176,

From LG's information its native screen resolution is: 1920×1080

Hello swarfendor43, thanks for the quick reply.

Im sorry but does that mean it will or will not work?

Im guessing it will not run at 1080 but will it show and look ok at a lower resolution?

Hi Aerobird176,

I have an LG 20" LCD/TV as a monitor on an nVidia chipped Asus Grapics card (FX5700 256 Mb 8x AGP) and the screen res defaults to best display i.e.,
1680 x 1050 so not sure what it would be for the one you are thinking of. I will say this though I thought at first I would not like wide screen but is great for having more than one application open on the desktop.

Basically I don't know what your particular graphics card would support - the LG I have only has VGA D-Sub (blue) connector on the back not a dual input one (no digital - white connector.)

So long as you have the appropriate connector to the TV (i.e., monitor cable) your graphics card 'should' cope but I don't know what resolution you will get on it.

best regards,

PS the price of the 27" is what I paid for this 20" - I'm well miffed!

Just found this (http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=at&l=de&s=bsd&sku=A2935710&cs=atbsdt1&dgc=SS&cid=5186&lid=121454&acd=23975883724507107) - main bit in German but it has both VGA and DVI connections to PC Graphics cards so you shouldn't have a problem - max screen mode on my LCD/TV is 60 Hz (same as a laptop) at 1024 x 768 its 75 Hz capable. Hope this helps.
