I’m homesick and was wondering whether there are any stores in Sheffield that sell American/Canadian food that you cant normally buy in England. (by that I mean stuff like gum, chocolate, cereal, drinks, chips etc)

What are you after? The Sheffield University union shop has Hershey's and Reese's (mmmmmm peanut butter cups!) chocolate :)

Im not really after anything in particular. It would just be nice to pick up a few things I cant get here. Like maybe sun chips.... Or lays dill pickle or ketchup... and loads of other things I cant think of at the moment

They do - well last time I went in they had cookies and cream bars - they are on the opposite side to the rest of the Hershey's Reese's stuff though :)

aww thank you everyone for replying! :) i think that if my cravings get really bad ill just have my parents send me anything i really miss. lol
In the meantime I might go to the students union shop or waitrose and buy something from there.

Just shop at the worst supermarket you can find and buy the least fresh ingredients, then it will feel just like an American supermarket. You could always ask the staff if they will grin inanely at you as they serve you if that would help. If you have access to a lab you could also think about injecting any meat you buy with large quanities of hormones and antibiotics.
