Why is LRP cheaper than Unleaded?

Surely it costs more to add extra chemicals to the unleaded petrol to make it LRP?

I think we are being diddled! Well more than normal!

It's coz not many cars run on it, so demand is low - it's on 'sale' at the moment ;)

Well I'm not complaining, Unleaded at 86.9p (NOT in a supermarket). I'm not telling where though :hihi: :hihi:

Look back a few months and see what price it was - then you'll be complaining.

That not logical. If demands are low, then prices should be higher in order for the business to survive, otherwise why provide the service?

Anyway, it is cheaper because there is less tax impose on it by the government as it is greener that the other alternatives.

That's what they use in the older engines now that the old four star isn't avaliable.

Actually you will find most people with older engines use Unleaded and an Additive. LRP is not very good for your engine.

I got rid of my old car because it was getting harder to find LRP /4 star, it was ok if I was driving locally as you know where to find it.

Iit was a bit of a pain when traveling further away and pulling into 5 different petrol station when none which had 4 star or LRP!

I don't see what the problem is, put unleaded in it with an additive.
