What does anyone else think about the 'mother' who has left her 15 year old daughter alone to go live with her Turkish boyfriend she met on holiday 3 weeks ago?

I can't imagine how the daughter feels. How can a grown woman do this? Surely her daughter should come first?

I saw her interviewed on the news and she didn't seem to give a toss. Spouting on about how much she loved him.

That poor child.....abandoned by her so called 'mother' for some holiday romance. Jeez woman, grow up!

I think she's just a selfish cow and would love to give her a right smack in the mouth! I'm not normally violet btw!

She's the one acting like a 15 year old.

Apparantly (heard on the late news) that she's said her daughter took it really well, but cried her eyes out when she left in the taxi :loopy: Jeez!

This woman isn't fit to be a mother!

Drag her back by her hair, slap her in prison and let all the fellow inmates use her as a toilet brush!

Classic :D :D :D

I think the poor woman is only in Luuuurrvvvvve  I wonder how long it will be before she brings back her new husband (who will no doubt be allowed to stay here) to live in England, then shortly after he wil blow her out for a younger model.

There isn't a man alive I'd put before my kids, not even their father!:)

I was totally gobsmacked watching her being interviewed on TV She was snogging the face off her young bloke and never once referred to her youngest daughter. Why didn't she take her with her? She took the elder daughter...

Apparently they lived in a rented house and the mother cancelled the contract just before she went to meet up with lover boy so if she was to come back home with the other daughter she took with her - no family home.

Poor kid. How do you get over that one?

Wonder how long the boyfriend lasts?

That's a very personal piece of information between the two of them surely. :)

I'm on form this morning.

apparanntley she also put her son into care at the age of ten,he became a alchoholic and was found dead at the age of 21,she is a slapper who needs a good slapping,i hope the police fetch her back and she gets a jail sentence, she will probably get whats coming to her in prison.

I am sure someone will come up with a name for the syndrome of older women taking much younger men in foreign countries as lovers. I remember reading recently that the Gambia is the favoured location for such activities. Perhaps its just a new twist on the Shirley Valentine syndrome.

Perhaps they ought to give older English guys a chance. As someone once said, 'I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was'

perhaps they should confiscate her passport & let her live as a turk ( in turkey). no disrespect to turkish people by the way.

that way were all certain that it isn't a marriage/relationship of convenience.

Having now read about this story on the BBC site, it looks like she's having some sort of middle aged crisis and all traces of common sense (if she ever had any) have gone out of the window. It seems there are plenty of other relatives who are prepared to take the daughter in though, and if what roughy says is true the best course of action might be to let her get on with it. She'll probably be back soon when the bloke dumps her anyway. If they drag her back and force her to live with her daughter again, she'd probably blame the daughter for ruining her happiness and so on.

Does a name exist yet for the syndrome of older men who 'buy' internet brides, usually much younger women, from poorer countries?

There's already a name for that particular brand of non parenting - neglect. It doesn't bear thinking about what was going through the woman's mind to just abandon her daughter like that :| I wonder if the girl would be better off with her father - or where he is come to that.

She probabley asked the 15 yr old to go with them and she said no, for which I don't blame her and then the selfish c-w of a Mother, with no regard for anybody but herself went without her.
How could she do it. Nothing would have made me leave my children--- if the house was on fire I should never have got out of the fire without them.

the woman should be sterilised. She isn't fit to be a mother of a human being.

Good God! Hels <shudders> at the thought of her getting pregnant again :gag:

Take her passport off her and make her stay where she is, I'm sure she'll soon realise her mistake and then it'll be too late

Think i'm back to my normal colour again now :hihi:

What are you all so mad about - she left the kid with £35 isn't that enough for a 15 year old to live on nowadays... :)

Seriously though-

How stupid is the mum, really?

The turkish bloke is just using her and will go off her pretty quickly once he has a visa to enter Britain and she will probably come back home tail between her legs looking like a fool, like many women from the UK who fall for the same trick over and over again.. just how dumb do you have to be to not see whats coming??

Good comment from the turkish bloke in todays Sun though, something about I really like the old lady and I dont care if she is old! LMAO!

Also a lovely comment from the mum
Blonde Elaine Walker, 45, said she did not care if 15-year-old Laura hated her for what she had done

The mum really is really grown up and clever isnt she??
I pity the 15 year old - I really do, as the eldest daughter seems to be turning out like mam as well.

Hang on, what are you lot outraged about? This "child" she left behind was at most a year, more likely a few months, away from being legally allowed to leave home and join the army. OK so she might not be able to drink in pubs but I think she'll survive.

I agree it's bad parenting but when I was that age Im sure I'd have glad to have the house to myself.

I hope when her young Turkish lover disowns her, that her child continues to disown HER, and that she spends the rest of her years as a VERY lonely old hagg

This woman and her bloke may be in 'Love' but, honestly, what man could love a woman who treats her own daughter with such dis-regard?

The 15 year old daughter could be 11 months off being 16 - or one month off. Makes no difference. She is still 15 ! And, she is not an adult until the age of 18.
