I've used it and got intouch with old mates. it was quite amusing to find out some of the things i'm remembered for from my school days. Some i can't remember at all, the shame!

Is it still popular? Thought that was the flavour of the month in 2001/02.

Quite a few people I know are members of friends reunited but I can't see the attraction myself. I left school about 10 years ago and I still keep in contact with a very select few of my old class mates, most of the people I went to school with were complete non-entities and I have very little inclanation to contact people who in all probability are still non-entities.

The secondary school I went too has it's own website. Far superior to FR.

I joined FR about 4 yrs ago and found that all we had in common was, we went to same school, obviously! After we had chatted about a couple of girls we knew, then a couple of Teachers we had nothing left in common.

A lesson in letting sleeping dogs lie I think.

I joined Friends United several years ago but then thought - if I didn't really like the sods back then, why would I want to talk to them now?!

i joined fr, i see more ex school pupils than i ever contacted. i still ignore them now. although i did uses fr to find ex girlfriends who went to different schools just out of curiosity.
it is good however for ex work mates - who suffered redundancy etc & who i am less likely to bump into in the street.

(FR was allegedly the biggest activator of divorce in 2004)
