Couldn't you ask the mods if it would be okay if you posted this in the main forum? It's christmas time, somebody has to have a heart?

just been to the car, and its started ok...the battery is on its way out and half the time have to jump it.....bah.
anyway i dont mind taking them in the car, its a pretty economical diesel touring, so a fair bit of room.

i can take them in the car, once its running in the morning it will be fine all day, so not a prob. so if it starts first thing fine, i can pick the dogs up in the car, or if not, fishboy when he comes with the van gives me a jump. just thinking it would be easier.
dont mind either way, just my car is better for my back than the van is...makes it ache even more cos of the driving position

Jules i'll be there at about 7.30. If you need van, take it, no problem if not as I can always take it home. You think you'll get them in the car alright?

theres plenty of room in the car, i know one is quite a large dog, but cant see a problem..

will send u a pm with my number, give me a call at about or before 7, well before your due to set off and i will see if my car starts in the morning before hand. would take u a good while to get over here cos its damn icy out there, even arthur's has just been sliding around and he has 4 legged drive....

would prefer the car, cos that van gives me back ache but if needs must...

only just seen this thread as been out

thanks jules for offering to transport these two. And for using your car. However, I don't think its safe to travel the two of them in a car - they don't know each other and need to be either crated - or seperated with one of them in a hatchback/seat belt.

Suga is the larger dog, whereas k11 is smaller - but still not a tiny dog.
Would you be able to put 2 crates in the car Jules?

If not, can I ask that you just do one of the runs? They don't need to be done together. So , if you can do the Suga run to peterborough - thats one out. and we may be able to sort the newark one out.

Please don't go to the pound first thing. We have to book the dogs out and arrange appointments for you to collect. I will do it first thing, but its the office staff we have to work it out with.

Ok?

thanks - really appreciate it, just need to be right and safe

its a touring bmw, so a fair size, if there are some crate on the van when fishboy comes over will see if they fit in the car....
will wait to hear from you, have to be back in sheffield for 3pm cos doc app, and with the weather etc, would have taken my time for a steady run

no probs, i was up at 630, defrosted the car, got it ready for when fishboy came over about 745, we got 2 big crates in it and i sat by the fone....
when you called, i had just had someone turn up, a lawyer from stagecoach (bah they never told me they were coming) cos i was on a bus the other week and someone got splattered underneath. and by 11, i couldnt risk setting off, get held up or weather suddenly change and me not getting back intime for the doc...

got your pm..

at least it means i cant drink tonight, and dont think i havent not drank 2 nights in a row for months lol.

I'd just like to put my name down for any transport needs. I work Mon to Fri 6:30 to 6 and sometimes Sat mornings but apart from that I'd be happy to take the lil doggies. I've a Honda estate with loads of room (and wipe clean leather seats) if i can be any help let me know. Nick.

Nick, that'd be good!

One important thing Rain Rescue do, is take dogs out of dog pounds and put them into rescue centres who have spaces, that way, at least the dogs are safe.

So all help we can get, it's very much appreciated!

Thanks Fredsredhat will bear it in mind
We often put a trnsport request on here though when stuck - and lots do reply. Its so hard to keep a list of who can do what and when and going forgetful as I am - thank goodness for sf
